After the fog has had a few minutes to work, it's time for us to reap the rewards of a successful canopy fogging. Beetles, spiders, caddisflies and other arthropods rain down onto our cloth "umbrellas," where we can pick them up and store them in ethanol for preservation. (it's a little like a pinata, but with insects instead of candy.)The tricky part is consolidating all those insects into one container without spilling any or missing the tiny ones.
